Today was a beautiful day. I kissed my husband good morning and goodbye, encouraging him in his work and feeling more in love with him than yesterday.
I laughed with my little boy; we potty-trained, listening for the timer and devouring the m & m rewards, one for Mama, one for Zekey. We built block towers and knocked them down. Hid the bus and searched for it. Shared strawberries and snuggled while we watched home videos. We took a walk outside, fed bread to our neighborhood ducks, climbed trees, and pretended to sail in the boat. We talked, we listened, we loved.
My baby girl; she never ceases to amaze me! Abby just started walking on Saturday, first 4 steps for me then up to 12 for Daddy. She’s starting to crack herself up, I think because she knows how much it makes me laugh. And clap, just like me, as I cheer for her, falling and getting back up, determined. We colored, we cuddled, we sang, we rocked. I look at her and can’t believe that she’s almost a year old. God is so good.
Thank you, Lord, for my beautiful family. Thank you for these days and the memories we’re making. I pray that we would teach our children to follow you and love them with your love.
